Welcome to High Peak Dog Training Society (High Peak DTS), established in 1991, we are a Kennel Club registered club run by volunteers and a committee. We offer agility and hoopers training every Monday and Tuesday evening at the Equestrian Hall, Blossoms Lane, Woodford a 5 minute drive from Bramhall Village.

Our dedicated trainers are club volunteers with over 40 years of competitive experience in agility, hoopers, flyball, and more. They bring a wealth of expertise and a deep passion for all things dog-related, consistently delivering proven results.

We have members ranging in age from 8 to 80 years, and our dogs from 6 months to 14 years. Everyone is welcome to join the fun.

Training not only provides physical and mental stimulation for your dog but also strengthens the bond between you and your pet, building a common language between dog and owner, teaching you to use body language to communicate clearly and effectively giving you both a fun and rewarding activity to enjoy together. It provides exercise that also engages a dog’s brain, leading to better overall behaviour. Unlike simple running, which can sometimes leave a dog more hyper, our training challenges both mind and body.

Due to the physical exertion involved, dogs should be fully grown before starting agility training, however they can start training Hoopers from a much younger age. This age varies by breed but is generally around 12-18 months.

Testimonials

Teddy and I have been training at High Peak since 2021, all the trainers are amazing, always encouraging and helpful with their advice. This club is our happy place.

So pleased I joined this club a few years back, initially I joined because I wanted to progress from fun to competitive agility. We’ve had so much help and guidance along our way. We’ve even got our Good Citizen Bronze through the Dog Training classes too. Who says Boxers are stupid

I joined High Peak DTS in May 2021 with the intention of having fun and building a stronger relationship with my border collie Jess. We look forward to our weekly training sessions, they are so much fun. The training we receive is excellent. We now regularly compete in agility.

I have been agility training at High Peak for three years with my two springer Spaniels, the classes are relaxed, friendly and a safe environment for your dog.

I highly recommend Agility at High Peak the trainers are brilliant, we have learnt so much and have alot of fun!
